Welcome to Diamond City Youth Flag Football! As a newcomer, or even as a returning family, you may have some questions that you have or cannot quite remember -- this section is here to help! Please review all items below, and if you still have questions, please feel free to reach out to us!
When does the season start and where are games played?
Our season starts on April 11 and runs through June. Games are played at Miner Park in South Wilkes-Barre.
When will practices be held?
Practices are scheduled by team coaches based upon the availability of team families.
Can we request team placement?
As much as we would like to be able to take requests for team placement, we are unable to promise that due to the large number of registrations -- we have over 500 players!
Can we request a particular coach?
We do not accept requests for coaches. We have many great people coaching our youth and cannot take requests. We are confident that your child will have a great year with any of the coaches we have. Many of our coaches hang around a good portion of the day to offer free advice and mentorship to our young athletes.
How will we find out about important league dates?
We send out weekly email updates starting in the preseason and all through the regular season and playoffs. Communication is important to us and we share information as soon as it is reasonable to do so. Please make sure you have kevin.sickle@diamondcitysports on your safe list for emailing purposes.
I registered my child -- how do I know if it was received?
When you registration has been completed, you will receive an automated email from Jotform almost immediately. This is your initial proof of registration. From there, within a few days, you will receive a personalized email from league president Kevin Sickle to confirm your registration -- please reply to that message to make sure all information is correct. Additionally, you will receive a text message from Kevin to welcome you to the new season.
I chose to pay with cash/check. When can I pay for that?
Payment is due at uniform pickups at the end of March/beginning of April (to be announced in a league-wide email). No player will get their uniform until full payment is made.
If I coach, can I choose my players?
The only players that are promised on your team are your own children/grandchildren. We cannot promise team placement otherwise for reasons mentioned above.
