Kickball Rules
- 9 inning or 55 min games
- 10 man max roster
- Ages 12+
- No more than 2 under 18 year olds per team
- 3 fielders and a pitcher
- Minimum of 3 players/game
- Teams may pick up 1 player per game from another team, if they have less than 4 players
- This player may only play the field and run the bases
- One player may be a catcher
- Minimum of 3 players/game
- 3 home runs per team, per game
- Outs
- Rubber / Mound Ball
- Fielder must be on the rubber before the base runner
- Lead runner that has not advanced to the next base is out
- Ball is dead - players that are safe may not continue to advance
- A double play may not occur if the first out is via the rubber
- A player may catch a ball (line drive or pop up) and throw to the rubber. If the ball beats the runner returning to their base, they are out.
- A player may tag a base for the first out and throw to the rubber. If the ball beats the next lead runner to the base, they are out.
- Plugs
- On a plug: if the ball bounces on the throw and hits a runner while the runner is not on a base, the runner is out
- Ball is dead after a plug (regardless if the plug results in an out or not)
- No plugs to head while runner is upright. Runner will be deemed safe.
- Plugs to the head on a slide will result in an out
- Plugs to the head on a slide will result in an out
- In Field Fly
- In field fly rule can be called by batting team
- Rubber / Mound Ball
- Batting
- Batter may not be passed the plate to kick
- Each instance is a strike
- If occurs on strike three it’s an out
- Each instance is a strike
- Ball must pass the painted arch to be considered fair. If it doesn't it is considered a foul ball.
- If this occurs as the fourth foul, the player is out
- Batter may not be passed the plate to kick
- 3 games must be played for Playoff Eligibility
- One can use an exemption request on 1 player that has played 1 game
- Mercy run rule
- 20 after 6, 15 after 7, 10 after 8
- Any ruling not covered above will follow baseball rules as close as possible and be made at council's discretion
